hmmm....
archie's always been about american sexuality--whether its obvious or not. (think teenage life, ideal teenage responses to ideal teenage problems)
and i believe people were subconsciously on to this theme...
thus this spur of archie "blasphemy" as they call it. i view it more as archie inspired social commentary though.
